Museum of Occupations is founded by the private institution the Kistler-Ritso Estonian Foundation (founded in 1998) whose task is to collect, process, study and present the history of the occupations of Estonia 1940-1991, the national resistance movement and the return of independent statehood.The purpose of the museum is to raise the interest, awareness and attention of youth toward society in order to prevent history’s its repetition.
